Greetings from the Principal:
With snow cutting our December short, this edition of Tiger Tales is coming together in January, with only two weeks of instruction and review remaining before mid-year exams begin. With more snow on the horizon, I encourage all students to be mindful of the possibility that we may be out of school in the days leading up to examinations. All students should plan to bring review packets, textbooks, notebooks, and study materials home – for both Black and Orange-day schedules – when the forecast looks bad.
I’m confident our teachers and students will work to cover the last few objectives in fall semester planning guides, while preserving time on January 22 and 25 for full-day review. With those dates in mind, students should begin now, highlighting difficult problems or prompts in their notebooks and review packets and coming to school ready to ask questions and ensure they’re ready when exams get rolling. This year, PWC high schools are administering only one exam on Tuesday, January 26, and then two exams, each day, through Friday, January 29 (see below).
Speaking for the faculty, I encourage all students to stay focused on academics these next two weeks, preparing as thoroughly as possible for the end of the semester.
I wish you all a healthy and safe new year,
Sincerely,
Robert Scott, Ed.D.
Principal
Brentsville District High School
